Blair Sweeney is a pediatric physical therapist with a specialty in development. Blair Graduated from Shenandoah University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program in 2016. She has dedicated her career to the developmental processes, and all factors, that impact the expected developmental timelines of gross motor skills and mobility. Blair has experience in Early Intervention, School-Based Services, and traditional Outpatient Pediatrics. She combines her knowledge of development and the human body with creativity and innovation. She passionately stays up-to-date with the research and is dedicated to being a life-long learner. A therapy session with Blair is child and family led. Blair utilizes equine movement to support the progress of a child at the Dream Catchers facility in Toano, VA.
Outside of her professional credentials, Blair has personally experienced life with a child in the NICU and PICU. She knows the new mother's exhaustion. She has worked full-time and knows the struggles of trying to juggle a family’s schedule with her career. She is passionate about infant feeding, including supporting a mother’s breastfeeding journey, and desires to empower all caregivers to find strategies to support their health and well-being as well as their child’s. Blair firmly believes the family-unit is the center of all things health and wellness.
